This past weekend I had the opportunity to pair up with MOCA Cleveland to participate in their Family Fun Day. I read my books aloud and ran a cut paper workshop on creating self-portraits. We had so many families show up, it was such a wonderful event! Check out the awesome photos below taking by my very talented friend, Heather Mariano of Heather Mariano Photography (heathermariano.com). She captured some amazing shots of the day. Enjoy!

I love this shot Heather took of a little girl with Cherry. It really captures the feel of the whole event.

It was so great to see kids get really into the cut paper medium as they worked on their portraits.

Families were able to view all of the exhibits on display through out MOCA Cleveland. The theme of all the art exhibits: portraits.

Along with cut paper comes a big giant mess. (My studio looks a lot like this when I’m in the middle of a book).
Thank you to all the families who participated in Family Fun Day, I had a blast! Huge thanks to MOCA Cleveland for hosting such a great event and to Heather Mariano for capturing the day.
