Join me and illustrator Michael Robertson for a virtual presentation with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators on Saturday, May 16th! We’ll talk about bringing words and pictures together, the role of an illustrator, our experiences working in Kidlit, and answer questions.
The event will take place on Zoom and is free to members and non-members of SCBWI, but registration is required.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to pair up with MOCA Cleveland to participate in their Family Fun Day. I read my books aloud and ran a cut paper workshop on creating self-portraits. We had so many families show up, it was such a wonderful event! Along with cut paper comes a big giant mess. (My studio looks a lot like this when I’m in the middle of a book).
